The pieces I write are written to give you a new perspective on life. They’re written to spur your thoughts on, to let your mind travel places. So I now expand on the piece titled, ‘2022:Claim It.’ What I write here are the thoughts that are spurred on by this poem.
We’re diving into this poem stanza-by-stanza today; and I’ll just give you a little energy contained in each line. Lets dive into it:
First Stanza
It’s Mine
This year in all its fullness
For the fulfilment of my dreams and desires
To living life to the fullest
- Let me give it to you bluntly: the days which we have to live are numbered; and living from this realisation is all the wisdom that you need.
- We have to live life with a desire to live out – otherwise “Are we even living?”
- We have to start the year looking inwardly: “As I start this year, what do I want my life to look like?”
Second Stanza
It’s Yours
This year outstretched day-to-day
For the enjoyment of each moment
To each gift of a day
- Life ought to be lived moment-by-moment, with a realization that all moments are connected.
- What do you have around you? What can you do with what you have? and Can you enjoy this moment? or What do you have to do to be able to put yourself in a position of enjoying each moment that comes by?
- We have to realise that each day is a gift – What will you decide to do with it? Does it measure up to the gift as received?
Third Stanza
It’s Ours
This year captured in companionship
For the reckoning of past years
To times spent together
- We have to realise that we’re not meant to live life alone. We are a people who are born in a community, we are born into family.
- We are a people who are developing everyday – so why not develop from a place of making your tomorrow(or even today) better that your yesterday; this is a simple decision – the hard part is sticking with it.
- Time is a gift, and the best way its spent is with like-minded people.
Concluding Stanza
Claim It
Welcome to 2022
- It all starts with a claim, a decision to make your tomorrow(or even today) better than your yesterday.
- Let’s live everyday moment-by-moment.
