Happy Women’s Day
From the foundation of 1956 – this day was born
Out of the uniting of women, seeking equality for all – this day was born
From 20,000 voices – an army centered on one goal – marched it’s way to the Union Buildings
And to say this is only a reflection, a shadow of the effect women can have – If I only knew..
If I knew that “Behind every successful women is a knowledge of who she is; knowledge, strength and perseverance in what she knows she can do and a will to bring it forth and show it to the world.” That would be an unquenchable fire, a life line for eternity.
If I could, I can only say that: “You got yourself here; even with the aid of people along the way. Let the confidence and security within yourself be brought out. Stand up and Stand out! Everything is within the grasp of your hands”
And for the awakening revolution I say: “Rewrite that history sister, and don’t mind what they say at all. You are everything that the world needs…so don’t let the world define you”
